Rambling on the RailsI bought a cigarette today from the mall in front of my college. It was 2 bucks, she told me. Funny, it was 1.25 at the vendor down the smokers' hangout in front of the old Chinese restaurant chain thing. I still don't know why I never lit the damn thing, even though I keep wanting to, just to get it over with and I'm coughing like mad from the cold I came down with last week. Here's wishing you balance and harmony in the Year of the Fire/Golden Pig! I based the design of this piece off those famous "紅包" red money envelopes with golden designs, and even used kanji fonts and traditional characters and...stuff.

The shaolin-monk-plus-Rock Lee (

) look was inspired by the fact that I had Chinese New Years' dinner at this awesome Chinese restaurant in the seriously cramped Chinatown (must be experienced to be believed!) near a train terminal, that really reminded me of Rush Hour. XD Hell, the restaurant's symbol made me think that the place was a front for Team Rocket! (again, must be seen to be believed!)

And don't pester me about unlucky "inaccuracies" against the actual Chinese sexagenary (i.e. 60-year) cycle. I just want to celebrate the damn thing.

So...happy Poké-Chinese New Year!

pig-face-kid looks to be in pain...or awkwardly happy...or like something smells bad, though with a nose like that, the latter seems to be most likely. ^^
