Our hapless nerd from ~TFClub's award-sharing Iguana TF finds himself in another predicament. Finals and scholarship essays are starting to take its toll on his stamina, despite his will to go on.

Guess where he goes to give him that extra boost.

When filling out the forms this time, he can be heard making remarks about a brother of his who was given a brand-new and branded rock guitar just as an incentive to actually pass high school. A certain fable comes to mind for the observing lab techs, and the serum is chosen. Meanwhile, our hapless nerd is informed that he's in luck: the company is now offering a scholarship for college-bound students who offer to take part in LB experiments, and so far he's the only one crazy enough to take it.

All he had to do to earn the scholarship - a full ride, tuition supplies etc. for one year - was to take the serum, stay overnight in the facility and take part in a LB photo-op the following morning. It was so enticing that the only thing he could think about as the serum knocked him out was how much it could spite his "grasshopper" brother.

Thus when he woke up that morning after a night of uneasy dreams he found himself transformed into a monstrous vermin.

"Ughth...oh Ga-...whathh...whatthhe..."
"Just be thankful we didn't turn you completely into an ant. No point typing up a 2,000 word essay if you're not even as big as the letters on the keys. Now smile for the - oh...wait...just uh, don't flinch too much."

Special thanks to Wikipedia for the ref on the ant anatomy.

Metamorphosis is a short story by Franz Kafka, and I don't give a shit what the cleaning lady thought.

Wow... Ussally insect TFs are pretty ugly and nasty and 'crunchy' but this looks REALLY cool. might not be such a bad fate if the serum will eventually wear off.

No comment about exoskeleton not being strong enough to support a human-sized bug; it's just a freaking picture.

OKAY SO I OFFICIALLY LOVE YOU FOR USING THAT WORD AS A TITLE

If he were turned "completely" into an ant, he'd be breathing literally through tubes in his body. Heck, his heart would be one big "spinal tube" too. ;P

Due to the terms of the contract though, he'll have quite a bit of time to get used to that form...and I fear for any jock who might try to stomp him. (;

I don't have issues. I don't have problems. I have issue problems.

"Rafey has FOUR legs, dammit!"

(reference to that spider thing we did)
